Privacy policy
We built this business on having nothing to hide, and that goes for what happens to your information on this website too. Here's the plain version of what we collect, why, and who else touches it.
The short version
- If you send us a message, we use it to get back to you. That's it.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It uses cookies.
- We don't sell or rent your personal information, and this site doesn't run advertising trackers.
What we collect
What you send us. When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), whether you're an owner, a tenant, or something else, and your message. If you email or call us, we have whatever you share in that conversation.
What's collected automatically. Google Analytics records how the site is used: the pages you view, how you got here (a search or another website, for example), your general location (city level, not your address), your device and browser type, and how long you stay. It does this with cookies. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
Like any website, our host also processes basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
How we use it
- To answer your message and, if you're interested, talk with you about our services.
- To understand which pages help people, and improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and filter out spam.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers to run this site. They handle information on our behalf:
- Netlify hosts the website and receives contact-form submissions.
- Google Workspace is our email. Form submissions are delivered to our inbox there, and we reply from it.
- Google Analytics provides our site statistics.
- Google Fonts and Google Maps. Our fonts load from Google's servers, and the map on our Contact page is provided by Google. When those load, Google receives your IP address, and Google Maps may set its own cookies.
We may also share information if the law requires it. Other than that, we don't share it — and we never sell or rent it.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. To stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits on any website, you can install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. This site doesn't currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
The Owner and Tenant Portals
This policy covers boomerangindy.com. The Owner Portal and Tenant Portal links take you to Buildium, the property-management software we use. Buildium runs those portals, and its own privacy policy applies to what you enter there.
How long we keep it
We keep messages as long as we need them to help you and to keep reasonable business records. Google Analytics keeps individual visit data for 14 months, and the reports we see show totals and trends — not who you are.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No website or email system is perfectly secure, though, so please don't send sensitive information — like bank account or Social Security numbers — through the contact form.
Children
This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your requests
You can ask what information we have from you through this site, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email info@boomerangindy.com and a person will handle it. We may need to keep some records — for example, ones tied to a lease or management agreement — where the law requires it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
